Massachusetts Standards

Every step of the ColorMyMath curriculum, matched to the Massachusetts Curriculum Framework for Mathematics (2017). All 230 standards from Kindergarten to grade 8 are listed: the ones we have a game for under Play by standard, and every one still to build under Not yet. Short descriptions are ours; the official first sentence is under each standard that has no game yet.

Which grade each step belongs to

One stripe per step, left to right in curriculum order, colored by the earliest grade whose standards it teaches.

Step by step

Play by standard

Every Massachusetts standard we have something for, youngest first. Touch the standard to play a game for it; the smaller buttons under it are more games for the same thing.

Beyond the standards

Massachusetts asks for the times table to 9 × 9 (3.OA.C.7) and the square and cube roots of small perfect squares and cubes (8.EE.A.2). Here a child goes on to every square through 100 × 100 and every cube through 25 × 25 × 25 — on purpose.

Not yet

Every Kindergarten–grade 8 standard that has no game yet, one at a time, in the framework's own words.

StandardGradeWhat it asks

Matching a step to a standard is a judgement call. The matching lives in tools/build-ma.py on the site's source.
